In his first league match for Deportivo de A Coruna, the Gabonese striker made a big impression against Elche.

Having joined the Spanish club from Marseille this summer, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang didn’t take long to make his mark in Spain. The Gabonese international made a big impact in La Liga on his very first appearance for Deportivo de A Coruna.

As Deportivo de A Coruna hosted Elche at the Estadio Municipal de Riazor on matchday 1 of the 2026–2027 La Liga season, Aubameyang found the back of the net early on. The 37-year-old Gabonese forward opened the scoring in the 21st minute of the match to give his side the lead.

It was the perfect start for the Gabonese striker, who once again demonstrated his clinical finishing. With this goal, his first for the club, Aubameyang has begun his time in de A Coruna in the best possible way.

Last season, he scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists for Marseille in the French league.
