Atlético Mineiro To Accept €13M Offer in Bid for Cuello: Hulk Loses His Partner

Atlético Mineiro has made a bold move in the transfer market, agreeing to sell Argentine forward Tomás Cuello for a reported €13 million (approximately R$82 million). According to Bolavip, the Brazilian club has given the green light to negotiations, and Cuello is expected to stay only until the end of 2025 before moving to Europe.
Fenerbahçe is currently the main suitor, although other European clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation. Cuello’s potential departure signals a major shift in Atlético’s attacking plans, especially considering his strong partnership with Hulk over recent seasons.
Cuello’s exit alters the dynamic of the team’s offense, posing a challenge for manager Cuca as he looks to restructure ahead of a packed fixture list in both the Brazilian league and the Copa Sudamericana.
In the upcoming months, Atlético-MG will face a series of crucial matches: Bahia, Sport, Palmeiras, Flamengo, and Fortaleza are all on the July schedule, while August brings Bragantino, Vasco, Grêmio, São Paulo, and Vitória.
This transfer decision suggests the club is preparing to both cash in and reinvest. Supporters will hope new reinforcements arrive in time to keep Atlético-MG fighting at the top of the Brasileirão, even as a key piece of their attack prepares to depart.
