A conflict is brewing in La Liga regarding the tournament schedule. Atlético Madrid is outraged and has complained about the limited time the club will have to prepare for the match against Real Madrid.

Details: The Madrid derby is set to take place on September 29 at 9:00 PM. Atlético will only have one training session to prepare for this game. The issue is that Real Madrid will play against Alavés on Tuesday, September 24, in Madrid, while Atlético will face Celta Vigo on Thursday, September 26. This means that Real Madrid will have 48 more hours for recovery and preparation.

Given this situation, Atlético’s management has expressed their confusion over La Liga’s scheduling decisions. They point out that the match against Celta could have been moved to Wednesday since both teams played their previous matches on Sunday, which would not have caused any scheduling conflicts.

Additionally, aside from the reduced recovery time, Atlético argues that La Liga is not considering the interests of its clubs or the quality of football. They believe that such schedules lower the standard of matches and are asking the organizers to take better care of the clubs, fans, and players.
