Atletico Go All In for Lookman as Deadline Nears

Atletico Madrid have intensified efforts to sign Nigeria international Ademola Lookman before the transfer window closes. The Spanish side were interested last summer but failed to agree a deal for the 28-year-old Atalanta forward.

After midfielder Leon Goretzka confirmed he would not leave Bayern Munich until the summer, Atletico have shifted focus, with Davide Frattesi also being considered. However, Lookman remains their top priority.

Competition is strong, with Fenerbahce pushing hard. Fabrizio Romano reports the “deal is at the final stages” for a €40m move, though Lookman’s decision is unclear.

Marca says Atletico will do everything possible, but admit Fenerbahce’s offer is currently higher.
