Athletic Bilbao star has become Barcelona's priority for the summer

Barcelona is determined to strengthen the left flank of their attack this summer and has already identified their primary target for this position.

According to Diario Sport, the absolute priority for Barcelona this summer is Athletic Bilbao's standout player, Nico Williams.

Representatives from Barcelona have already contacted the player, informing him of their intention to activate his €50 million release clause. However, they have asked him to wait while the club resolves some financial issues.

It is also reported that the new Barcelona head coach, Hansi Flick, has approved Williams' candidacy.

In the recently concluded season, Nico Williams played 37 matches for Athletic in all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 17 assists.
