Two English giants are both eager to sign Williams.
Details: According to TeamTalk, the management of Athletic Bilbao has made a final decision to allow their 23-year-old right winger Nico Williams to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
It is reported that a series of injuries and some less-than-convincing performances from Williams have made it clear that he is not particularly happy in Bilbao and that keeping him no longer makes sense.

Meanwhile, London’s Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping a close eye on the situation and are already preparing lucrative offers for the Basques and Williams himself, aiming to convince the player to join their ranks.
Manchester United has shown interest in Williams for several years now, while Arsenal sees the Spaniard as a potential replacement for Martinelli or Trossard.
According to the source, the release clause in Williams’ contract with Bilbao is set at 100 million euros.
This season, Williams has made just 26 appearances for the Basques, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists. His contract with Athletic runs until 2035, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 60 million euros.
