Atalanta on top. The top 5 most valuable African players in Serie A
The reputable website Transfermarkt recently updated the transfer values of Serie A players, and the Italian league features numerous talented African footballers. Based on this data, Dailysports compiled a list of the top five most valuable African players currently playing in Serie A.
Note: The ranking includes only players who have debuted for their national teams. Players with African citizenship representing non-African national teams, or those who haven't yet played for an African team, were excluded from this selection.
1st place is held by Ivorian defender Odilon Kossounou from Atalanta. Despite losing €5 million in value since the last update, his current market price of €30 million keeps him at the top of the ranking.
2nd place goes to Algerian midfielder Ismaël Bennacer from AC Milan, valued at €18 million. He saw his value drop by nearly half, as he was previously priced at €30 million.

4th place belongs to Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye of Udinese, whose value rose by €3.5 million, reaching a total of €7.5 million.
Finally, the ranking both begins and ends with an Atalanta player. In 5th place is Ghanaian defensive midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana, whose market value increased by €2 million, now standing at €6 million.
