Atalanta have announced the signing of Lazar Samardzic from Udinese

Atalanta have officially announced the loan signing of midfielder Lazar Samardzic from Udinese, with an option to buy that will become obligatory under certain conditions.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the total value of the deal is around €25 million, including bonuses and loan fees. If the transfer becomes permanent, Samardzic will sign a five-year contract with the club.

Samardzic becomes the sixth new signing for Atalanta this summer, following the arrivals of Ben Godfrey, Nicolo Zaniolo, Ibrahim Sulemana, Mateo Retegui, and Marco Brescianini. The club has also made the loan deal for Charles De Ketelaere from Milan permanent.

The club’s transfer activity might continue, as Teun Koopmeiners is likely to join Juventus on a permanent basis, and Ademola Lookman is reportedly attracting interest from PSG.
