Atalanta is closing a deal for the acquisition of forward Mateo Retegui from Genoa and the Italian national team.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Retegui is moving to Atalanta for €22 million plus an additional €3 million in add-ons after the official offer was announced by the Bergamo club this morning.
The deal is already finalized, and it will be officially announced after medical tests.

In 2023, Mateo, who is originally from Argentina, was called up to the Italian national team. That same year, he moved abroad for the first time in his career, joining Genoa.
In the past season, the forward played 31 matches for Genoa across all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 2 assists.
