Astonishing: Tottenham goalkeeper played against Man City with a broken ankle for 60 minutes
Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario became one of the standout performers in the sensational 4-0 win over Manchester City, but one fact about his performance is truly astonishing.
Details: It was revealed yesterday that Vicario will be out for several months due to an ankle fracture.
According to Sky Sports, Vicario broke his ankle during the match against Manchester City. Despite the injury, the Italy international played for a full 60 minutes and managed to keep a clean sheet.
Vicario became Tottenham's number one goalkeeper immediately after his move from Empoli in the summer of 2023 for €18.5 million.
In Vicario's absence, 36-year-old Fraser Forster, who is his backup, will take over in goal. This season, Forster has already featured in 2 Europa League matches and 1 FA Cup game.
Reminder: Tottenham is also without their key central defender, Micky van de Ven, due to injury.
