Aston Villa set to compete for ex-Barcelona forward again

Before the start of the Champions League, Aston Villa are carrying out a major rebuilding of the squad, and the head coach of the Villans Unai Emery is even keeping an eye on former Barcelona players for this purpose.
Joao Felix recently returned to Atletico Madrid from loan at the Catalan club, and it is him that Aston Villa are keeping an eye on, according to Sport Witness.
It is true that the Portuguese has been followed at Villa Park for at least a year, but now the club from Birmingham are starting to actively "press" in their intentions to sign the ex-Barcelona forward.
Felix himself considers a return to the Catalan capital as a priority option, but if the transfer to the Blaugrana on a permanent basis will not work out, the Portuguese may consider other options.
But here everything depends not so much on the striker, as on his club. Atletico are still unable to reach an agreement with Barcelona and are considering other offers.
