Aston Villa have reportedly opened talks with West Ham United over a potential deal for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

According to The Athletic, Villa have identified the right-back position as a priority and see the experienced defender as their leading target for the role.

Wan-Bissaka is available following West Ham's relegation from the Premier League, but the Hammers are reportedly seeking around £25 million for the 28-year-old.

It remains unclear whether Aston Villa are prepared to meet West Ham's valuation, with negotiations expected to continue as both clubs consider the next step.

Wan-Bissaka made 27 appearances across all competitions for West Ham during the 2025/26 season, providing three assists.

The former Manchester United and Crystal Palace defender could now be in line for another Premier League move, with Villa considering him as they strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
