Aston Villa intensifies interest in Félix after Durán’s sale
The sale of Jhon Durán to Al-Nassr is forcing Aston Villa to look for a new striker in the transfer market, and the club is making progress on that front.
Details: According to Daily Express, Aston Villa has increased its interest in Chelsea forward João Félix.
The Birmingham club will earn €77 million from Durán’s sale, which is expected to be enough to sign Félix.
Villa's head coach Unai Emery is personally pushing for Félix’s transfer.
This season, Félix has played 12 Premier League matches, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist. In the Conference League, the Portuguese forward has 4 goals in 5 appearances.
Last summer, Chelsea paid Atlético €52 million for Félix.
Reminder: Earlier today, reports also emerged about Aston Villa’s negotiations with PSG regarding the transfer of Marco Asensio.
