Aston Villa defender wants to leave the team over Emery's contract extension

Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery recently tied himself to a contract with the club until 2029, which has delighted not everyone at Villa Park.
Left-back Alex Moreno has failed to establish himself in the Villans' main squad and has faced a lack of game time this past season, prompting him to leave the team, according to the Birmingham World citing Spanish media.
The 31-year-old Spanish defender realises that he has no future with Emery at Aston Villa and wants to return to Real Betis, from whom he moved to England. His desire to return to his former club is so great that he is even prepared to take a pay cut.
Last season Moreno played in only 21 matches of Aston Villa in the Premier League, spending 1027 minutes on the pitch. In these matches he managed to score two goals.
