Aston Villa are targeting a Senegalese midfielder valued at €45 million
The Villans are keen to sign Pape Gueye this summer.
More suitors are coming forward for the Senegalese midfielder. Following Everton, whose interest in the Senegalese player had been reported, Aston Villa have now entered the race to sign Pape Gueye.
The midfielder, who plays for Villarreal, is attracting attention thanks to his performances in La Liga last season and at the 2026 World Cup. According to The Sun, Aston Villa are keen to secure the services of the Senegalese international following Amadou Onana’s injury.
The Villans are reportedly prepared to pay Pape Gueye’s release clause, which stands at 45 million euros. Having scored five goals and provided two assists in La Liga during the 2025–2026 season, Pape Gueye is under contract with Villarreal until June 2028.
