Aston Villa and Spanish giants have set their sights on Chelsea star
Financial fair-play problems could force Chelsea to make a significant squad purge to raise money, and that's where the London club could be helped by its upbringing.
According to Sky Sports, Blues midfielder Conor Gallagher has attracted the attention of Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid. But, Chelsea have no intention of letting their 24-year-old star go for nothing.
It is believed that Stamford Bridge are willing to consider offers for Gallagher that will start from at least £50million.
The London club's reasoning is that another Pensioners midfielder, Mason Mount, was sold to Manchester United last summer for £50+5 million and Gallagher is considered a more valuable player.
Gallagher's behaviour at the club is considered exemplary, with the player not campaigning for a contract extension with Chelsea. The 24-year-old midfielder's current agreement with the club runs until the summer of 2025.
