Aston Martin shares video of fans meeting Fernando Alonso in the Spanish Grand Prix fan zone

Aston Martin star Fernando Alonso received a hero’s welcome at his home circuit in Barcelona during the Spanish Grand Prix. The official Aston Martin Instagram account posted a video capturing his encounter with fans in the event's Fan Zone.

The footage showcases a massive crowd of supporters gathered in the Fan Zone, eagerly awaiting their chance to see Alonso. During the meet-and-greet, the Spaniard signed autographs, posed for photos, shot videos, and tossed signed caps into the crowd.

“Fanzone but make it 360. 📹 A unique perspective on @fernandoalo_oficial’s appearance at the fan village in Barcelona,” the video caption reads.

The electric atmosphere clearly gave the racing ace a boost, helping him deliver a solid performance at his home Grand Prix. Alonso finished ninth, claiming his first points of the season.

With 2 points, the Spaniard currently sits 18th in the overall Formula 1 standings.

It’s also worth noting that Fernando Alonso was recently announced as the official ambassador for the Circuit de Catalunya.
