Asisat Oshoala Scores Brace as Al Hilal Hold Al Ahli to 3–3 Draw in Saudi Women’s League
Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala was the standout performer as Al Hilal played out an entertaining 3–3 draw against Al Ahli in the Saudi Women’s Premier League on Thursday.
The 31-year-old forward found the net twice in the first half to inspire Al Hilal’s comeback. She opened the scoring for her side in the 31st minute with a close-range finish before calmly converting a penalty in the 42nd minute after being fouled inside the box.
Oshoala’s brace took her tally to eight league goals and two assists this season, while she now has an impressive 15 goals and three assists across all competitions.
Despite her heroics, the match ended all square, leaving Al Hilal in third place on the league table with 16 points. They are level on points with second-placed Al Ittihad and trail league leaders Al Nassr by eight points.
