ASEC Mimosas loses a pre-season friendly to Stella Club
The reigning Ivorian Ligue 1 champions have suffered another setback in their pre-season preparations.
ASEC Mimosas are continuing their summer preparations. The Ivorian club, which recently won the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Super Cup to kick off their 2026–2027 season, are fine-tuning their strategy for their continental and domestic campaigns.
After several pre-season friendlies, the Mimos were put under pressure by Stella Club, another side in the Ivorian professional league. In the friendly match, ASEC Mimosas failed to find the net and ultimately lost 2–0.
This fixture forms part of the pre-season programme that ASEC Mimosas has been undertaking for several weeks. The Ivorian club is continuing to fine-tune its preparations to ensure it is ready for the various competitions next season.
The Ivorian champions face a major continental challenge in particular with their participation in the CAF Champions League. ASEC Mimosas will also have to defend their title in the Ivorian Ligue 1.
