Bayer could land a hefty profit from the transfer of their diamond in the rough.

Details: According to renowned and reputable journalist and insider Florian Plettenberg on his X social media page, London’s Arsenal have set their sights on 19-year-old Cameroonian forward Christian Kofane of Bayer Leverkusen.

Kofane’s electrifying and productive performances in this season’s Champions League have caused a stir, leaving Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta deeply impressed.

However, securing Kofane’s signature won’t be a walk in the park, as Arsenal’s main rival in this race is Real Madrid, who are also closely monitoring the Cameroonian prodigy.

Leverkusen are well aware of the buzz surrounding their young star and are ready to part ways, but only for a fee of at least €70 million.

Kofane joined Bayer last summer from Albacete for €5.25 million. This season, the Cameroonian has featured in 39 matches for the "Werkself," scoring 7 goals and providing 8 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at €40 million.
