The future of Chelsea vice-captain Enzo Fernández is shaping up to be one of the hottest topics of the upcoming transfer window.
Details: According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have joined Manchester City in the race for the 25-year-old Argentine midfielder. The Argentina international is among a group of Chelsea players who are reportedly unsettled by the club’s direction and instability within the management.
Tensions rose after Fernández hinted at a possible move to Real Madrid back in March, which led then-manager Liam Rosenior to hand him a two-match suspension.
Interest in Fernández is not limited to the English giants; both PSG and Real Madrid are also keeping close tabs, setting the stage for one of the most high-profile transfer sagas of the year.
It’s worth noting that the Argentine has made 50 appearances for the London club this season, scoring 13 goals and providing 6 assists. Transfermarkt currently values the player at €90 million.
