Arsenal are preparing a sensational transfer of the Premier League club's star striker

A lot has been said about Arsenal looking to strengthen the forward position, and it seems Mikel Arteta is ready to disrupt the transfer market with a surprise signing.

According to Football Transfers, the Spaniard recently had a private conversation with Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford over the latter's move to the Emirates, and it is Arteta who is thought to be the mastermind behind the potential deal.

However, the signing of RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Šeško still remains the top priority. The transfer of Rashford would be considered a big gamble and although he has Premier League experience, which Arteta values, his last season with eight goals in 43 games was pretty dismal.

In addition, if the Arsenal manager is willing to forget his poor performance, it's unlikely that the fans will be willing to do so if he continues to perform similarly unimpressively for the Canaries.
