Former Manchester City and Arsenal footballer Emmanuel Adebayor ended his career with the Togo national team last year, and he has now been invited to enter politics.

Details: According to the Daily Mail, the player has been urged to become a politician in his native Togo. An opposition leader in the country believes that Adebayor has both the potential and the reasons to pursue a political career.

Quote: "Now that Emmanuel is done with sports, he needs to engage in politics. With him on board, we can continue the political struggle for freedom in Togo. In Adebayor, we see an example of persistence and success. He embodies the ambition and dynamism that the youth of Togo want from their political leaders," the politician said.

Throughout his career, Emmanuel Adebayor played for Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham, and Real Madrid. He earned 87 caps for the Togo national team.

Reminder: During a campaign speech in Pennsylvania, U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spent 12 minutes talking about golfer Arnold Palmer instead of summarizing his campaign.
