Argentine goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli will leave Ajax this summer to continue his career in a top league.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Rulli is set to become a player for Marseille. The French club has submitted an offer to the Amsterdam side worth €3-4 million, and negotiations are in advanced stages.

The terms of Rulli's contract with Marseille have already been agreed upon, and the goalkeeper is very keen on joining the club.

Rulli missed most of last season due to a severe injury, playing only seven matches in the Eredivisie. He was also part of Argentina's squad for the triumphant 2022 World Cup, although he served as a backup goalkeeper. Additionally, Rulli was the primary goalkeeper for Argentina at the 2024 Olympics.

Before joining Ajax, the 32-year-old goalkeeper played for Villarreal, Montpellier, Real Sociedad, and his home club, Estudiantes.

It is worth noting that Roberto De Zerbi has been appointed as the new head coach of Marseille for the 2024/25 season.
