Argentina's national team coach Lionel Scaloni has finalized a squad of 26 players who will participate in the Copa America, taking place from June 20 to July 14. "Albiceleste" will compete in Group A alongside Canada, Peru, and Chile.

Among the key highlights are the inclusion of Real Betis players Herman Pezzella and Guido Rodriguez, who were uncertain until recently due to various reasons. Pezzella was recovering from a minor foot injury, which kept him out of training with the team for several days, while Rodriguez also underwent rehabilitation but returned in good physical condition.

Additionally, three players - Valentín Barco, Leonardo Balerdi, and Ángel Correa - did not make the final squad, despite being part of the team during friendly matches against Ecuador and Guatemala. Let us add that Paulo Dybala did not even make it onto the extended list after a difficult season at Roma.

Here is the full list of Argentina's squad for the Copa America:

  • Goalkeepers: Emiliano Martínez, Franco Armani, Jeremías Ledesma.
  • Defenders: Gonzalo Montiel, Nahuel Molina, Cristian Romero, Germán Pezzella, Lucas Martínez Quarta, Nicolás Otamendi, Lisandro Martínez, Marcos Acuña, Nicolás Tagliafico.
  • Midfielders: Guido Rodríguez, Leandro Paredes, Alexis Mac Allister, Rodrigo De Paul, Exequiel Palacios, Enzo Fernández, Giovani Lo Celso.
  • Forwards: Ángel Di María, Lionel Messi, Valentín Castellanos, Alejandro Gómez, Nicolás González, Lautaro Martínez, Julián Álvarez.
