Aquino Injured as Colo Colo Cruise Past Cobresal in 4–0 Win

Colo Colo delivered a commanding 4–0 victory over Cobresal at Estadio Monumental, extending their unbeaten run to six matches in the Chilean league. But as reported by Al Aire Libre, the win came at a cost: Claudio Aquino picked up a muscle injury early in the first half and had to leave the pitch.
The midfielder felt discomfort in his right thigh after a challenge and, despite a quick wrap, couldn’t continue. He was replaced in the 21st minute by Tomás Alarcón. Aquino’s absence could become a significant issue for manager Jorge Almirón, especially with a series of high-stakes derbies on the horizon.
On the field, Colo Colo dominated. Sebastián Vegas opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a header off a Vicente Pizarro corner. Javier Correa added two more with clinical finishes, assisted by Arturo Vidal and Lucas Cepeda. Cepeda then converted a late penalty after a handball, possibly marking his final appearance at the Monumental.
The victory lifted Colo Colo to seventh place with 21 points, trailing leaders Coquimbo Unido by eight, though they still have two games in hand. While momentum is building, Aquino’s injury could disrupt the team's growing consistency.
