Antony's agent sheds light on the winger's future at Old Trafford
Manchester United winger Antony has yet to justify the £85.5 million transfer fee that the Red Devils paid Ajax for his move in August 2022.
According to recent reports, Antony might be loaned out this summer, but his agent, Junior Pedroso, insists the winger plans to stay at Old Trafford.
"I see reports about a possible loan move. Antony's plan is clear: Manchester United. He wants to stay, he is focused solely on Manchester United. We've already discussed this with the club," Pedroso told Fabrizio Romano.
In 38 matches across all competitions last season, Antony scored only three goals and provided two assists. The player arrived at United's training base in Carrington on July 8 for the first day of pre-season, but he did not participate in the team's first two friendly matches against Rosenborg and Rangers.
Nevertheless, manager Erik ten Hag insists that the former Ajax star has everything needed to succeed in his team.
"I still believe that Antony has the potential to play for this club. He definitely showed that potential in the first month. He scored three times in his first three games. After that, it became more difficult, and last season wasn't very successful," Ten Hag stated.
