Next month, the Brazil national team will play World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay, and the team's new head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has announced his first squad in this role.

Details: The biggest talking point is Ancelotti’s decision to recall winger Antony, who enjoyed an outstanding second half of the season with Betis.

Brazil squad:

  • Goalkeepers: Alisson (Liverpool), Bento (Al-Nassr), Hugo Souza (Corinthians)
  • Defenders: Alexsandro (Lille), Lucas Beraldo, Marquinhos (both – PSG), Alex Sandro, Danilo, Leo Ortiz, Wesley (all – Flamengo), Vanderson (Monaco), Carlos Augusto (Inter);
  • Midfielders: Andreas Pereira, Gerson (both – Flamengo), Andrey Santos (Strasbourg), Casemiro (Manchester United), Ederson (Atalanta), Bruno Guimarães (Newcastle);
  • Forwards: Estevão (Palmeiras), Antony (Betis), Vinícius Júnior (Real Madrid), Raphinha (Barcelona), Matheus Cunha (Wolverhampton), Richarlison (Tottenham), Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal).

Brazil will face Ecuador on June 6, followed by a clash with Paraguay on June 11.

Reminder: It was previously reported that Davide Ancelotti has decided to assist his father during his first year in charge of the Brazil national team, postponing the start of his own managerial career.
