The Malian Football Federation has chosen the Portuguese tactician to lead the Eagles.

Anthony da Silva’s appointment was officially announced on the night of Thursday 4 June. “The Malian Football Federation informs the public and the sporting community that, in accordance with the conclusions of the recruitment process launched for the post of national coach of the Eagles of Mali between 28 April and 26 May 2026, the Executive Committee’s final choice fell on the proposal presented by Mr Anthony da Silva,” stated the governing body of Malian football.

Anthony da Silva best meets the main technical criteria defined by the committee, the Federation explained. To convince Malian football officials, the Portuguese tactician proposed achieving top-level results in African and global competitions, developing and promoting the national league, as well as nurturing and supporting local talent.
