Another dismissal. Juventus defender shown red against Galatasaray

Juventus suffered a heavy 2–5 defeat away to Galatasaray, but back on home soil they still had hope of turning the tie around. They pulled one goal back in the first half, only for the situation to take a dramatic turn after the break.

Details: In the 48th minute, the Bianconeri were reduced to ten men. Lloyd Kelly stepped on an opponent’s foot and was initially shown a second yellow card. However, just minutes later, the referee revised the decision and upgraded it to a straight red.

Reminder: In the other fixture, between Real Madrid and Benfica, one of the goals was ruled out. Arda Guler found the net, but Gonzalo Garcia was caught offside in the build-up, and after a VAR review the goal was disallowed.
