Angola unexpectedly beat Spain in the women's handball tournament of the 2024 Olympics


Spain and Angola faced off in the second round of the group stage of the handball tournament at the 2024 Olympics in France.
Despite Spain's status as the favorite, the African team celebrated an unexpected victory with a score of 26:21.
The Spanish team won the first half by a narrow margin (15:14), but Angola turned the game around after the break.
In the second half, they scored twice as many goals as the Spanish team and secured a well-deserved victory. Ten minutes before the end of the match, Spain's left-winger Jennifer Gutierrez received a red card.
A special mention goes to Angola's goalkeeper Marta Alberto, who saved 11 out of 30 shots on her goal.
After two rounds, both teams have two points.
