As part of Matchday 23 in France’s Ligue 1, we are set for a clash between Angers and Lille, but the fixture may not go ahead as scheduled.
Details: The game could be postponed due to severe flooding in the city. According to BFMTV, Angers has recorded its highest water level in the past 25 years.
Authorities were forced to deliberately flood certain roads along the Maine River in order to relieve pressure on other parts of the city.
Angers currently sit 11th in the Ligue 1 standings with 29 points from 22 matches. Lille have collected 34 points after 22 games and occupy fifth place.
Additionally, 28-year-old forward Ousmane Dembélé is experiencing significant pain in his left calf, forcing him to miss team training sessions.
Reminder: The famous Auteuil stand at the Parc des Princes will be closed for PSG’s next two home matches.
