Angel Gomes returns to Marseille
He had been on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers
Having been relegated to the Championship, Wolves have not retained the English midfielder.
Angel Gomes is returning to France following his loan spell in England. Loaned by Marseille to Wolverhampton Wanderers during the last winter transfer window, the option to buy the 25-year-old midfielder was not exercised. Wolves, who finished the season bottom of the Premier League, have been relegated and will not be able to keep Angel Gomes.
He is therefore leaving the English club after a six-month loan spell during which he made 12 Premier League appearances. He returns to Marseille, with whom he is under contract until 2028.
