Celtic are ready to act quickly: a January agreement would guarantee a free transfer in the summer of 2026, allowing Robertson to complete the current campaign at Anfield. The club sees him as a defensive leader and a mentor for their young talents. At the same time, Liverpool have not ruled out the possibility of extending his contract for another year.
Robertson has long been a Celtic supporter, having grown up in Glasgow and dreaming of ending his career at home.
Robertson has been with the Merseyside club since 2017. During his time at Liverpool, he has won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, and several other trophies.
Reminder: Pep Guardiola named former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp as the toughest opponent of his career.
