Andre Onana explains why he has returned to Trabzonspor
A few days after his new loan move to Turkey was made official, the Manchester United goalkeeper revealed what convinced him to make the move.
Andre Onana has been loaned out to Trabzonspor by Manchester United for another season. But before agreeing to return to the Turkish Süper Lig, the Cameroonian international highlighted the club’s confidence in him.
In an interview with Sports News Africa, Andre Onana explained that discussions with Trabzonspor’s management were decisive.
“The chairman told me that the club really wanted me, as did the city and the fans, and that the club was prepared to make certain efforts, particularly financially, to keep me. At 30, I have the bulk of my career behind me. These days, I certainly consider the sporting aspect, but I also take other factors into account.”
