The Senegalese player surprised the Stade Oceane crowd.
Issa Soumare made headlines with Le Havre AC during their home game against Strasbourg on Sunday 8 February in the 21st round of French Ligue 1. Having not scored in the league since his last goal against Lorient in September 2025, the 25-year-old Senegalese striker ended his drought on 8 February against Strasbourg.
With Le Havre AC and Strasbourg tied at 1-1, Soumaré distinguished himself in the most beautiful way possible to give his club the victory. He finished off a fine move by his compatriot Arouna Sangante with a spectacular acrobatic volley to give Le Havre AC a 2-1 victory.
It was the Senegalese player's fourth goal this season with Le Havre AC in the French league.
