Real Madrid's head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, explained at a press conference before the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona why he can't choose a primary goalkeeper until the end of the season.

“We signed Kepa to be the starter. Then Kepa got injured and we saw Lunin and he did well. Now I can't choose a starter. It wouldn't be fair to both of them. They understand it”, – quoted Ancelotti by Madrd Xtra.

Earlier, Marca's chief editor, Jose Felix Dias, reported that Andriy Lunin would play in the final against Barcelona.

It's worth noting that Real Madrid's main goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has been out for the entire season due to a knee ligament injury. Right after his injury, the club signed Kepa from Chelsea on loan.

In the current season, Lunin has played in 10 matches in all competitions, keeping five clean sheets. Kepa has featured in 17 matches with seven clean sheets to his name.
