Analysts have predicted who will be the best in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League

We are less than three weeks away from the start of the brand new Champions League group stage, or as it is now called, the league stage. UEFA assure us that the Swiss system will add intrigue. But there are already the first predictions for this stage.

Thus, analysts have calculated the league stage according to the Elo ratings of each team. According to the results, the triumphant of the league stage will be Manchester City, which will gain 18 out of 24 possible points. In the top three are also the reigning tournament winner Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Earlier we published all the pairs of the Champions League league stage. But the calendar will have to wait, UEFA will release it on Saturday, 31 August.

Recall that since this season in the Champions League there are no groups, and all teams are in one common table.
