Tottenham is ready to dig deep into every detail.

Details: According to CentreGoals, Tottenham has begun examining a possible link between the design of their stadium’s retractable pitch and the ongoing injury crisis that has plagued the team for more than a year.

As CentreGoals reports, the Spurs management is considering the theory that the specifics of the playing surface could be impacting the players’ physical condition. This season, the London club has suffered more personnel losses than any other team in the Premier League, directly affecting their results and almost costing them relegation to the Championship.

This issue has become systemic, continuing for a second consecutive season. Since the start of the 2024/25 campaign, the club has already registered 123 injuries, including several serious knee problems and anterior cruciate ligament tears suffered by the likes of Simonas, Romero, Kulusevski, and Odobert.

Previously, experts had already conducted external tests on the stadium’s surface, but the results were inconclusive. Now, Tottenham is determined to carry out a more thorough analysis.
