Paul Pogba's move to Monaco was considered almost a done deal, but due to some complications, an unexpected challenger has entered the race for the Frenchman.
Details: According to Foot Mercato, that contender is Saudi club Al-Ittihad, where Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté are already on the roster. The Middle Eastern side has renewed its interest in Pogba, but for now, is unable to act decisively due to ongoing internal instability within the club's management.
At the same time, the midfielder's transfer to Monaco is being complicated by issues surrounding his contract and transfer of personal rights, though negotiations between the parties are ongoing. For now, Monaco retains the upper hand, but the situation remains fluid.
