In his first game as manager, Ruben Amorim praised Moroccan Noussair Mazraoui for his outstanding performance in the Premier League match against Ipswich Town, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Amorim, who came on as a substitute for Erik ten Hag, spoke about the team's defensive problems, saying: "We don't have many options in central defence, so we need to bring in players from other positions. Mazraoui is a smart player who performed exceptionally well today, and he plays a significant role in our tactical plans."
He further acknowledged the Moroccan's versatility: "Mazraoui's ability to adapt to various positions makes him an invaluable part of the squad."
Throughout the game's ninety minutes, Mazraoui had exceptional skill, demonstrating 91% pass accuracy, 67% successful dribbles, and 66.7% successful tackles. The 26-year-old may continue to get better at Manchester United as a result of his impressive play under Amorim.
