Manchester United has dismissed Erik ten Hag and has already reached an agreement with Sporting CP's head coach, Rúben Amorim, for his move to the English club. However, the transfer may be delayed.
Details: The Red Devils are prepared to pay $10 million for the coach's transfer, but it’s currently on hold. The issue lies in Amorim's notice period, which requires "several weeks, not days."
This means that unless an agreement is reached for an early contract termination, he won’t be in the dugout when United hosts Chelsea on Sunday, November 3.
Furthermore, there's a possibility that Amorim could start his role after the international break. United is set to face Ipswich Town away on November 24.
Reminder: Sporting has confirmed they received an official notification from United regarding Amorim’s appointment. The coach himself has already agreed to United's offer and project.
