Amorim to Chelsea? A well-known insider has set the record straight on this story

Sporting's head coach Ruben Amorim has recently been very closely linked with employment in the English Premier League. But, earlier, the specialist was refused by Liverpool, and West Ham failed to agree with his club on the terms of parting. Nevertheless, for the Portuguese press found another option of a potential employer.

The media have linked Amorim with Chelsea in London, but according to Fabrizio Romano, it is too early to talk about any contacts:

"Right now, Chelsea's plans are not changing - nothing is happening. Obviously, the club are in internal talks about the future, but the final decision on Pochettino's future will be made towards the end of the season.

We've seen a few reports that Amorim has been linked with Chelsea as a potential successor to Pochettino, but while I don't know of any concrete contacts, we'll see nearer the end of the season.

Surely Amorim is keeping all options open after talks with West Ham led nowhere concrete. But again, the decision on Pochettino will be made at the end of the season, not now," Romano is quoted by CaughtOffside.
