Manchester United are not eager to bring back the winger currently on loan at Barcelona. On the contrary, Barcelona would like to make his move permanent. The Catalan club holds a buyout option for Rashford worth between €30 and €35 million and could activate it.

Details: According to Diario Sport, Barcelona are seriously considering triggering the buyout clause. The club’s management is pleased with the striker’s performances, and Rashford himself is happy at the club and wants to stay—a desire he made clear last summer when he was waiting for an offer from Barcelona.

Manchester United have no plans to recall the player, as Rúben Amorim does not see Rashford fitting into his squad. In a meeting with the management, the Portuguese coach made it clear he does not want to work with the forward under any circumstances. Recall that Rashford had already left the club on loan before—last season he played for Aston Villa.

Marcus Rashford’s start to the season at Barcelona can be described as successful—the English forward, on loan from Manchester United, has confidently filled in for the injured Raphinha and is posting impressive numbers. He already has 6 goals and 6 assists in 16 appearances.

Reminder: Manchester United are monitoring Olympiacos’ Greek midfielder Christos Mouzakitis.
