Despite a challenging start in the Premier League, Rúben Amorim's victory over Manchester City secured him a place in Manchester United's history books at the Premier League level.

Details: Amorim became only the second United manager to win his first Manchester derby in the Premier League era. The first was Sir Alex Ferguson, who achieved the feat on December 6, 1992, in the inaugural Premier League season, with United securing a 2-1 victory.

The six managers who followed Ferguson all lost their first Manchester derby, with none managing even a draw. The heaviest defeats came under Erik ten Hag (3-6), Ralf Rangnick, and David Moyes (both 1-4).

Reminder: Earlier, United captain Bruno Fernandes set a new club record.
