Amid the Manchester City scandal, Erling Haaland's next club named
Erling Haaland could leave Manchester City in the future and move to one of Spain's giants. Former Barcelona midfielder Gaizka Mendieta believes that, if the Norwegian striker departs the English club, he will end up at Camp Nou.
The situation surrounding Manchester City remains uncertain after the club was found guilty on 114 of 115 charges in the case involving alleged breaches of the Premier League's financial rules. The English club intends to appeal the decision, while the final punishment has yet to be determined.
Against this backdrop, the futures of several key players have come under the spotlight. According to TEAMtalk sources, Real Madrid and Barcelona are considering a move for Haaland in 2027. Bayern Munich also remain interested in the Norwegian.
Mendieta believes Haaland could join either Real Madrid or Barcelona, but considers the Catalan option a better fit for the striker. In his view, the forward's power and runs in behind the defence would complement Hansi Flick's team's style of play.
