Chelsea's new head coach Liam Rosenior has weighed in on the situation surrounding Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk, making it clear that the player's future at the club remains unresolved for now.
The Blues' manager admitted he hasn't yet spoken personally with the player, but plans to do so when the time is right for everyone involved.
I haven't spoken to Mudryk yet. That's definitely something I want to do. There are a lot of things happening at the club right now, and not everything can be addressed immediately. Mykhailo is a fantastic footballer, but he's been through a really tough period,
Rosenior also emphasized that any further steps will be taken collectively. Should the opportunity arise to positively impact the Ukrainian's career, the matter will be discussed at the board and sporting director level.
As a reminder, Mudryk is currently away from football amid a doping investigation. The Ukrainian's last appearance for the London club came in November 2024 in the Conference League.
