Napoli's management has started working on extending Scott McTominay's contract after his impressive season and a half in Serie A. Originally, McTominay signed a deal running through the summer of 2028, but according to Corriere dello Sport, the club now aims to extend it until 2030.
It's reported that the player's agent recently visited Naples and held talks with sporting director Giovanni Manna, discussing the terms of the new agreement. Official figures have yet to be disclosed, but it's expected that the midfielder will receive a significant upgrade in his contract terms.
Recall that the Scotsman made the move to Naples from Manchester United in the summer of 2024 for €30.5 million and quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad. In his debut season, the midfielder helped the Partenopei clinch their second Scudetto in three years and was named Serie A's Most Valuable Player.
