The team’s doctor, Jochen Hahne, greeted the paramedics at the gates and accompanied them inside. Not long after, the ambulance left the premises with its lights flashing and sirens blaring, suggesting a potentially serious situation.
However, Bild reports that the incident occurred in the radiology department of Bayern’s campus, which also serves non-club-related individuals. This suggests that none of the team’s players or staff were involved in the emergency.
As of now, Bayern Munich officials have not provided any comments regarding the incident.
The German Bundesliga is currently on its Christmas break, which ends tomorrow, January 10. Bayern Munich will resume play on January 11 with an away match against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Munich side leads the league standings, four points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen.
