Amad Diallo: “My Idol Was Messi, But at Man United, I Loved Rooney”

Ivorian winger Amad Diallo, who plays for Manchester United F.C., has opened up about the footballers who have inspired him the most. While Lionel Messi remains his lifelong idol, he revealed that Wayne Rooney is his favourite player in Manchester United’s history.

Amad spoke passionately about Messi’s influence on his career.

"In my life, my idol was Messi, so I always say Messi because Messi is the player I still watch, I still try to learn from him.

"But at Man United, the player I really liked was Rooney.

"So when they asked me which player do you want to play, which player do you love to play in the United history, I said Rooney because he's the player I really loved to play with," Amad has shared.
